Giving a clear signal, BJP chief Amit Shah on Saturday clarified that central government will not initiate any talks until the violence ends in Jammu & Kashmir. While talking to reporters in Agartala, Amit Shah also stated that the government is working on a strategy with armed forces to tackle the growing violence in the state.

He cited the example of central government’s reply to the Supreme Court in which, the government had stated that there will be no talks initiated from the central government till there is ongoing violence in the valley. While being asked about growing incidents of attacks on security personnels by naxals and militants, he added that NDA government has been more successful in tackling such issues than the previous UPA government.

Reporters also questioned him about presidential polls and NDA’s pick for the candidate, to which Amit Shah replied that the discussions are going on and a decision will be taken at the right time.
