RJD Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav had organised a ‘BJP Bhagao, Desh Bachao‘ rally in Bihar’s capital Patna on Sunday, 27 Aug. Lakhs of people could be seen in the Gandhi Maidan in Patna where the rally was organised. The main agenda to organise this mega rally was to show open and complete opposition against Narendra Modi led BJP government at the center and Nitish Kumar led JD(U) at the state.
RJD Supremo had invited leaders of all non-NDA parties on the forum. Lalu Prasad Yadav’s RJD colleague in Bihar, Congress top leaders did not participate in this rally. It was believed that in the absence of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi, former prime minister, and senior Congress leader Manmohan Singh will be attending the rally, but even he did not show up.
Apart from the number of people present for the rally and the opposition leaders who attended the rally another major attraction of the show was the speech of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son, Tej Pratap Yadav. Tej Pratap addressed the people just like his father in the same manner and even made a concoction of political war against the BJP. Throughout his speech, he targetted the BJP and pledged that will only stop when the party is destroyed. Accusing Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of being a betrayer, he said that Nitish Kumar and Sushil Modi suddenly become the best friends overnight, he also accused Nitish Kumar of insulting the mandate.
“Unless my voice goes out in the heart of the country, against the BJP government, I will continue to raise my voice.” Tej Pratap swore. He called the Modi Government at the Center a failure on every front and accused Nitish Kumar of taking shelter of Modi to save himself from Srujan scam.
Giving the example of the famous Mahabharat war fought at the Kurukshetra between the Pandavas and the Kauravas, he said that the real beginning of the war is by blowing the horn and said that he has now declared a war against BJP. “In Kurukshetra, Lord Krishna and Arjuna jointly conjectured against unrighteous Kauravas. Today I am declaring war against BJP from this forum,” he added. He also said that Tejashwi Yadav is the Arjun of his war and together they will destroy the BJP.
Former deputy chief minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav said that if anyone believes that there is a Modi wave in the country then they should come and see the crowd of 3 lakh people gathered here in the Gandhi Maidan in the rally against BJP.
