Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday again hits back at the Indian National Congress and accused them of ‘misleading’ the people intentionally over the Rafale Deal. Targeting towards the ‘Gandhi Family’, Defence Minister said they had shown ‘amazing audacity’ by not listening to the Supreme Court Verdict.

Citing the Supreme Court Verdict that rejects all petitions seeking a probe in the Rafale Deal, She said, ‘Congress is knowingly misleading the people on the pricing of Rafale Jets’

Endorsing her party’s view, She further said that Bhartiya Janata Party-led NDA Government has given all pricing details to the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India and CAG will send its report to Public Account Committee of the Parliament to examine.

‘We have provided the pricing details to the Comptroller and Auditor General, as per the general process PAC is generally examined the report send by CAG to it and after which it becomes a Public Document. This is the due process and we have followed same’ Union Defence Minister N Sitharaman said on Monday.

After the Apex Court Verdict, N Sitharaman said that it was the win for the government

The Congress, however, continued to attack the government over the issue despite the Supreme Court ruling. Addressing a press conference, Congress president Rahul Gandhi and PAC chairman Mallikarjun Kharge had alleged that the government had lied to the court, claiming that the pricing report was neither with the CAG nor was it submitted before the PAC.

The Parliament adjourned on Tuesday over uproar as the tussle between the ruling Bhartiya Janta Party and Congress-led opposition parties intensified. BJP MPs roared against Rahul Gandhi with Placards and Slogans asking Gandhi to apologize while Opposition raised slogans of ‘Modi Sarkar Chor Hai’.
