The meeting between two regional bigwigs comes on the backdrop when the parliament approved to resolution scrapping Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.

It should be noted that DMK, who contested polls with Congress, had been openly slamming the Centre’s move to revoke the Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. While the Trinamool Congress (TMC) seems to be divided over the issue with many of its MPs like Sukhendu Sekhar Ray backing the centre’s decision about Jammu and Kashmir.
