The Mighty Australia regains its form as they win against Pakistan.

The start of the World Cup wasn’t as expected for the Australian team.

They lost the first two matches of the World Cup against India and South Africa.

India won by six wickets against them, whereas South Africa won by 134 runs.

Australia broke their losing streak by winning against Sri Lanka by five wickets.

Match Details

The 18th match of the World Cup was played in Bengaluru.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first.

Australia Innings

David Warner and Mitchell Marsh opened the innings for Australia.

They both started great and started to get along well.

From the start, they were both hitting boundaries and forming a good partnership.

They both soon completed their half-centuries and kept on going.

It was getting difficult for the Pakistani bowlers to break their partnership.

Babar Azam was trying every bowling pair, but they weren’t able to break the partnership.

They soon completed a century and formed an amazing partnership of 259 runs when Mitchell got out.

Shaheen Shah Afridi broke the partnership as he took the wicket of Mitchell and, in the next over, Glenn.

Going on, David completed his 150 runs, and with his amazing knock, they formed a total of 367/9.

Shaheen Shah Afridi took a haul of five wickets, while Haris Rauf took three wickets.

Pakistan Innings

Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq opened the innings for Pakistan.

They both gave a good start to their teams, which was required of them to achieve the total.

They both soon completed their half-centuries and formed a partnership of 134 runs.

Marcus Stoinis broke their partnership when he took the wicket of Shafique.

In his next over, he took the wicket of Abdullah as well.

Mohammad Rizwan’s knock of 46 runs handled the situation in between, but he wasn’t able to make his team win the match.

One by one, everyone lost their wickets as Pakistan got all out for a total of 305.

Adam Zampa took four major wickets, while Pat Cummins and Marcus Stoinis took two wickets each.
