Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Mumbai Indians (MI), and in the evening, Delhi Capitals (DC) beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
The rivalry week of the IPL 2023 started on May 6, 2023.
The first match of the rivalry week was between the two most successful teams in the history of the IPL.
Mumbai Indians were going to face Chennai Super Kings (CSK), as the match between them is also known as El Clasico.
The next match in the double-decker on Saturday was going to be between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals.

The 49th match was going to be played in Chepauk at MA Chidambaram Stadium.
CSK won the toss and elected to field first as Cameron Green and Ishan Kishan came in to open for MI.
They both weren’t able to give a great start to their innings, as Cameron lost his wicket in the second over itself.
After the wicket of Cameron, in the next over, Deepak Chahar took two wickets.
The MI team wasn’t able to get over the frequent breakthroughs.
Nehal Wadhera was the only person standing in the middle, trying to score runs.
His 64-run knock propelled MI to a total of 139/8.
In return, the top order of CSK Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon
Conway, followed by Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube, took them to victory.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) vs. Delhi Capitals (DC)
The second match was to be played in Delhi, as RCB, winning the toss, elected to bat first.
Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis gave an outstanding start to their team.
Virat even completed his half-century as they formed a partnership of 82 runs.
By the end of the innings the knock of 54 runs by Mahipal Lomror, RCB had formed a total of 181/4.
David Warner and Phil Salt opened the inning for DC.
They both started off great, as David lost his wicket to Hazlewood.
The knock of 87 runs by Phil brought the match really close.
The lower order of DC didn’t disappoint the team, as Mitchell Marsh and Rilee Rossouw helped DC win the match by seven wickets.
