There’s more bad news coming in from the CSK as another player have tested positive for the virus within a span of few days. Recently the 33 year old Suresh Raina has pulled out of the tournament due to personal reasons. The player in doubt who has contracted the virus is a top order right handed Indian batsman who has played for India A and also performed in the Ranji Trophy.

According to several reports Raina is in desperate need to get along his family at the moment. On the other hand Deepak Chahar the CSK pacer was tested positive on Friday along with 11 other staff members of the club.

Earlier this month Suresh Raina made way for the youngsters by retiring at the age of 33.

The CEO of Chennai Super Kings K.Vishwanathan issued an statement on Suresh Raina claiming that he had returned home due to personal reasons and will miss out on the entire season of IPL. The franchise has offered complete support his decision. Due to various Covid-19 cases in the team, their quarantine period has been extended till September 1.

Suresh Raina was the most important player for CSK as his performance for the franchise has been consistent throughout many seasons. His absence will be big problem for the team and to fill his position will be a difficult task for the franchise. It is understood by the franchise that if the player is not 100% ready or committed to the tournament due to some other priorities then they will have to support and respect his decision. Not confirmed but it is reported that the spike in the Covid cases in the team is the reason behind Raina’s Departure. As the team has become a hotspot of the virus it is a worrying issue for other teams and players as well. Hoping that the issues are cleared and there’s no Panick around any corner of the team.

The officials are urged to keep a tab on the player’s mental health.
