According to the team sources it has been reported that the all-rounder from Australia Mitchell marsh has suffered a serious ankle injury during their opening match against the royal challengers Bangalore and is likely to miss the entire season of IPL 2020.
The Australian was handed the ball by the skipper in the 5th over but unfortunately, he could only bowl 4 deliveries.
Mitchell Marsh has been keen to injuries throughout his career and twisted his ankle during the second delivery trying to stop the drive from Aaron Finch. The All-rounder managed to produce 2 more deliveries as it got difficult for him to bowl with an injury.
The man from Australia was quite courageous as he came out to bat at the number 10 position for his team but unfortunately, SRH lost by 10 runs as he found it difficult to stand.
The team source reported that the injury is quite serious and the player might miss the entire season of the IPL.
The official statement is yet to be released by the franchise.
The franchise has been hit by a huge blow in the name of Mitchell marsh as they ook to replace him with a 37-year-old Dan Christian who has been a part of 40 ipl matches and is a middle order batsman and a medium pacer.
Mohammed Nabi who is currently the world number 1 T20 all rounder could get some playing time in the XI.
On the other hand, David warner appreciated the courage of Mithell Marsh as he stepped up to bat in serious pain.
David warner lasltly said that it was quite painful as he couldn’t put weight on it and courageous as he walked in for the team when it was needed.
SRH were left 10 runs short against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
