The World Cup 2023 has started with great enthusiasm and is in great swing.

New Zealand took the lead in the series as they won their first match against England by nine wickets.

The second match for New Zealand was against the Netherlands.

Till date, New Zealand and the Netherlands have played four ODIs, and the Black Caps have won them all.

Three out of the four wins have been by 100+ runs.

The Netherlands have been performing well in this tournament, as they gave a tough fight to the Pakistani team.

Match Details

The sixth match of the ICC Cricket World Cup was played in Hyderabad.

The Netherlands won the toss and was elected to the field first.

New Zealand Innings

Devon Conway and Will Young opened the innings for New Zealand.

They both gave a good start to their teams, as they were also hitting boundaries.

Van der Merwe broke their partnership as he took the wicket of Devon.

Will and Rachin handled the situation from there as Will completed his half-century.

Paul Van Meekeren broke their partnership as he took the wicket of Will.

Rachin continued his outstanding performance as he hit 51 runs.

After that, the knocks by Daryl Mitchell of 48 runs and Tom Latham of 53 runs helped New Zealand achieve a total of 322/7.

Aryan Dutt, Paul Van Meekeren, and Roelof van der Merwe took two wickets each.

Netherlands Innings

Vikramjit Singh and Max O’Dowd opened the innings for the Netherlands.

They were both settling down and starting to score runs when Henry bowled Vikramjit.

Colin Ackermann came into play as he was trying to handle the situation and maintain a partnership.

Wickets continued to fall from the other end as Matt Henry and Mitchell Santer gave them frequent breakthroughs.

Colin soon completed his half-century, as he was trying hard to achieve the total.

Santer didn’t let his innings go for long as he took the wicket of Colin.

Mitchell Santner took a haul of five wickets, while Matt took three wickets.

With this, they took all the wickets for the Netherlands at a score of just 223 runs.

New Zealand won the match by 99 runs, and Mitchell Santner was chosen as the Player of the Match.
