Indian opener, Rohit Sharma is in good form as we did see in the previous match against Pakistan on Sunday. Not only in this match, in other matches also, he did not seem to spare any bowler when he is in the form. However, there are some bowlers which the batsmen find challenging or tough to play. Such is the case with Rohit.
At a gala dinner organized by Indian captain Virat Kohli’s foundation, Rohit Sharma was asked about the toughest fast bowler he has faced till now. He then admitted that Dale Steyn’s bowling has been most challenging for him till now. When asked, he said,“Dale Steyn. We’ve seen over the years what he has done for his country. It is always challenging to play against him. Since I’ve started opening it’s become even more challenging. I’ve always enjoyed playing against him, always competitive, so I think I’d say Dale Steyn.”
Dale Steyn is a nightmare for many batsmen and is regarded as one of the best bowler of his time. But the only occasion Steyn has dismissed Rohit Sharma in an international match is The Boxing Day Test between India and South Africa at Durban in 2013. It is clear that how challenging it was for Rohit to play against Dale even after being dismissed by him only once.
