India U-19 team reached the finals of the U-19 World Cup.

The ICC Under-19 World Cup is going on as India, South Africa, Australia, and Pakistan reached the semifinals.

In total, 16 teams participated in the U-19 World Cup.

They were divided into four groups and further into Super Six groups.

The top four teams reached the semifinals as India faced South Africa and Australia played against Pakistan.

Match Details

The first semi-final was played on February 6th at Benoni.

The Indian team won the toss and elected to bowl first.

South Africa Innings

Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Steve Stolk opened the innings for South Africa.

They both tried to give a good start to their team as Steve lost his wicket to Limbani.

Raj Limbani gave a quick breakthrough as he took the wicket of Steve and soon took the wicket of David.

Lhuan and Richard started to handle the Innings as they were both going well.

Soon, both completed their half-centuries and kept on going.

The knocks of 76 and 64 runs by them were taking them towards a good total.

After that, the short knocks by the upcoming batsmen took South Africa to a total of 244/7.

Raj Limbani took three major wickets, and Musheer Khan took two wickets.

Manan Tiwari and Saumy Pandey took one wicket each.

India Innings

Adarsh Singh and Arshin Kulkarni opened the innings for India.

Kwena Maphaka, in the first ball of the inning, took the wicket of Adarsh.

Tristan Luus didn’t stay back, as he took the wicket of Musheer and later took the wicket of Arshin.

India was losing wickets quickly as Uday and Sachin started to handle the situation.

They both started to form an important inning as they both soon completed their half-centuries.

Going on the outstanding knocks of 81 and 96 runs by both took India close to victory.

In the end, India won the match by two wickets, and Uday Sharma was chosen as the Player of the Match.

India U-19 is unbeaten until now, as they have reached the finals of the U-19 World Cup.
