The Women’s Premier League also known as the WPL has been started.

The Women’s Premier League consists of five teams.

Mumbai Indians Women, Delhi Capitals Women, Royal Challengers Bangalore, UP Warriorz Women, and Gujarat Giants Women.

Fixtures

All five teams will be playing two matches against each other.

In total, there will be twenty matches, and the team to end in first place will directly make its way to the finals.

Whereas the team that ends up in second and third place will play in the eliminator.

The team that wins the match will play against the top team in the finals.

Matches

The Women’s Premier League kicked off on February 23 with the match between Delhi Capitals women and Mumbai Indians women.

Mumbai India Women won the thriller match as Sajeevan Sajana helped them win the match by hitting a marvelous six in the last ball.

After that was the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore Women and UP Warriorz Women.

Royal Challengers Women won the match by two runs, starting their WPL journey with a win.

The third match was played on February 25 between Gujarat Giants women and Mumbai Indians women.

Mumbai Indians women won the match as they won two consecutive matches.

The matches have been going regularly, as till now eight matches have been played.

WPL Points Table

The Delhi Capitals women are at the top of the table with two wins and a loss.

They won against UP Warriorz Women and Royal Challengers Bangalore Women.

In second place are the Royal Challengers Bangalore Women, who won two out of three matches played.

They won against the Gujarat Giants women and the UP Warriorz women.

UP Warriorz Women are in third place after winning and losing two matches.

They won against Gujarat Giants women and Mumbai Indians women.

The fourth place is attained by the Mumbai Indians women by winning two matches and losing one.

And in last place are the Gujarat Giants women, who have lost all three matches.

Today’s match is between Mumbai Indians Women and Royal Challengers Bangalore Women.
