The England tour of India is going on, which consists of five test matches.
England won the first one, and after that, India consecutively won the next two, and now the third one as well.
By winning this test, they have already won the series.
Match Details
The fourth test match was played in Ranchi from February 23rd–27th.
England won the toss and elected to bat first.
England First Innings
Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett opened the innings for England.
They both tried to give a good start to their team, as Akash Deep took the wicket of Ben and then Ollie in the same over.
In his next over, he took the wicket of Zak as the young debutant of India destroyed the opening pair of England.
Joe Root handled the inning in between as the outstanding knock of 122 runs took England towards a good total.
The ending knocks by Ben and Ollie took them to a total of 353 runs.
India First Innings
Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal opened the innings for India.
Rohit soon lost his wicket as Yashasvi and Shubman handled the situation from there.
Yashasvi completed his half-century as wickets were falling from one end.
Dhruv Jurel came in to bat, and with his marvelous knocks of 90 runs, India managed to attain a total of 307 runs.
Shoaib Bashir, the young talent, took his first five wickets.
England Second Innings
Zak opened the innings alongside Ben, as they weren’t able to give a great start.
The spinners of India, Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav, started to take wickets in short intervals.
With the knock of 60 runs by Zak England, they reached a total of 145 runs.
Ravichandran Ashwin took five wickets, and Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets.
India Second Innings
India needed 192 runs to win the fourth match.
Rohit and Yashasvi gave an outstanding start to the team, as Rohit also completed his half-century.
After that, India lost some quick wickets as Shubman and Dhruv handled the situation.
They both took India towards victory, as India won the match by five wickets.
The young talent Dhruv Jurel was chosen as the Player of the Match.
