Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravindra Jadeja’s outstanding performances helped India secure the largest test victory of 434 runs.

India creates history as they break their record of winning by runs that they made against New Zealand.

They won by 434 runs against England, breaking their old record of 372 runs against New Zealand.

Match Details

The third test was played at Rajkot, as India won the toss and elected to bat first.

India First Innings

Rohit Sharma opened the innings alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal.

They both tried to give a good start, but Yashasvi lost his wicket to Mark Wood.

Shubman Gill and Rajat Patidar also soon lost their wickets as Jadeja came into bat.

Rohit and Jadeja formed an important partnership as they both completed their centuries.

With the ending knock of Sarfaraz Khan of 62 runs, India reached a total of 445 runs.

England First Innings

Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett opened the innings for England.

Ravichandran Ashwin didn’t let it settle as he took the wicket of Zak.

By taking the wicket of Zak, he also completed his milestone of 500 wickets.

Ben was playing well from one end, while batsmen from the other end were playing short knocks.

His innings of 153 runs took England to a total of 319 runs.

Mohammad Siraj took four wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets each.

India Second Innings

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma opened the innings, but Rohit soon lost his wicket.

Yashasvi and Shubman started to form an important partnership as they both soon completed their half-centuries.

Shubman got run out at the score of 91 runs as Yashasvi completed his century.

Then Yashasvi formed an outstanding partnership with Sarfaraz.

Going on, he soon completed his 150 runs, followed by his double century.

In his knock, he hit 12 sixes, equaling the Wasim record of maximum sixes in an inning.

Sarfaraz’s knock of 68 runs also added valuable runs as India declared their innings at 430 runs.

England Second Innings

England needed 557 runs to win the match, and Zak and Ben opened the innings.

Mohammad Siraj didn’t let them settle as he took the wicket of Ben, and soon Bumrah took the wicket of Zak.

Indian bowlers started to take frequent wickets as no England batsman was able to play a big innings.

They lost all their wickets to a score of 122 runs as India won the second test by 434 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja took a haul of five wickets and was also chosen as the Player of the Match.
