Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jasprit Bumrah’s outstanding performances helped India win the test match against England.

England is on a tour of India, which includes five test matches.

England won the first one, and now it was time for the second one.

Match Details

The second test match was played from February 2nd–5th.

India won the toss and elected to bat first.

India First Innings

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma opened the innings for India.

They both started great and tried to make a good partnership when Shoaib took the wicket of Rohit.

Just like Rohit, every other batsman came into bat and was playing short knocks.

On the other hand, Yashasvi was standing alone at one end and playing an outstanding knock.

He soon completed his century, followed by his double century, as he hit his maiden double century.

With his outstanding knock of 209, India made a total of 396 runs.

England First Innings

Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett opened the innings for England.

They started great when Kuldeep Yadav took the wicket of Ben.

After that, the Jasprit Bumrah show started as he started to take frequent wickets.

Zak stood strong, as with his knock of 76 runs, England made a total of 253 runs.

Bumrah took a haul of five wickets in total, he took six major wickets.

India Second Innings

India was at the lead of 143 runs by the end of the first inning as Yashasvi and Rohit opened the second inning.

James Anderson in the first few overs only took the wicket of both openers.

Shubman Gill stood strong in between his knock of 104 runs and Axar Patel’s knock of 45 runs. India made a total of 255 runs.

England Second Innings

England needed 399 runs to win the match as Zak and Ben opened the innings.

They started great, as Ashwin took the wicket of Ben Duckett.

After that, frequent wickets started to fall for the English team.

Zak was trying to handle the Innings alone as he completed his half-century.

No other batsmen were able to play a good knock as they lost all their wickets to a score of 292 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets each.

Jasprit took nine wickets in the match, and he was awarded the trophy for Player of the Match.
