In a recent interview with media, BCCI announced that the squad for the upcoming fixture, World Cup 2019 will be picked on 15th April. The tournament will be played in England and Wales and commence from 30 May.
According to some sources, it has been said that the BCCI is going to have a meeting with the Captain of this Indian side Virat Kohli. The meeting will be held on Monday. The last date for announcing the world cup squad is April 23 but BCCI has decided to announce it eight days prior to the scheduled date.
It will be interesting to see, who will be in the 15 men squad who will represent India in this world cup. With a lot of options available for them, it will be interesting to see who will travel with the team to England. All the positions are pretty much sorted but the number 4 position is still debatable. Who will be that lucky guy to represent India at number 4? Can it be Rayudu or Rahane?
Or India will choose someone else for this spot? Can we see either of Raina or Yuvraj in the squad or not. How many fast bowlers will India play with? What will be the right combination of the team? Does Vijay Shankar have any chance? We will find the answers to all these queries on 15th April.
