Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube’s outstanding knocks against the Afghanistan bowlers helped India win the match.

After the South Africa series, it was time for the Afghanistan tour of India, which consisted of three T-20Is.

India won the first T-20I as they already took the lead in the series.

Match Details

The second T-20I will be played at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on January 14th.

Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian team, won the toss and elected to field first.

Afghanistan Innings

Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran opened the innings for Afghanistan.

They both tried to give a good start to their teams but failed.

Ravi Bishnoi took the wicket of Rahmanullah, giving Afghanistan an early breakthrough.

It wasn’t long ago when Axar Patel bowled Ibrahim, and in the next over, Shivam Dube bowled Azmatullah.

Gulbadin started to add runs from one end as short knocks were coming from the other end.

Going on, Gulbadin completed his half-century as Axar Patel took his wicket.

After that, the short knocks by Najbullah, Karim, and Mujeeb took Afghanistan to a total of 172 runs.

Arshdeep Singh took three wickets, whereas Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel took two wickets each.

India Innings

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma opened the innings for India.

Rohit Sharma failed to play a good innings as he lost his wicket in the first over.

Virat came in to bat he started to hit great shots, and Yashasvi was supporting him from the other end.

They were both building a great partnership when Rohit lost his wicket.

Yashasvi and Shivam kept up the momentum as Yashasvi completed his half-century.

Karim Janat didn’t let him go for long, as he took Yashasvi’s wicket and Jitesh Sharma’s wicket in the same over.

Shivam Dube kept on going as he completed his half-century.

He and Rinku Singh helped India win the second match.

India won the match by six wickets, as Axar Patel was chosen as the Player of the Match.

India now has a 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
