This is not a good year for Google Pixel 2 XL smartphone, from the point of the phone launch to till date there are many problems which are evolving around the Google Pixel 2 XL. The latest one is the broken fingerprint scanner after updating to latest Android Oreo 8.1 operating system.

Almost more than 64 users are reporting that after the update the fingerprint scanner has been acting weirdly. However, the fingerprint scanner has not been completely broken, the sensor takes an extra second to unlock the smartphone, considering the premium amount that one pays to get this phone, these bugs are highly unacceptable.

In fact, Google official authority also came up with some steps to troubleshoot the bug, but that hasn’t been working for these users. However, users themselves have come up with a new solution. If you turn on the always on display (which consumers extra battery) to solve this issue.

So, if you have come across this issue, then head toward setting > display > always on display and enable the same. However, Google is yet to comment it on this issue, a new software update should resolve this issue.

If we look at the specifications of the Google Pixel 2 XL, the smartphone packs a top of the line specifications with a QHD+ POLED 18:9 aspect ratio screen, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-core SoC, paired with 4 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB onboard flash storage with no SD card slot.

The single 12 MP camera on the back is the best camera we have seen on any smartphone, thanks to Google’s dedicated algorithm, this camera can capture photos with bokeh effect and 4K video recording capability with OIS. The front-facing 8 MP selfie camera is also one of the best selfie cameras that we have seen in recent times.

The smartphone offers dual stereo speakers on the front, however, misses out on 3.5 mm headphone jack. Though the smartphone offers a fast charging via USB type C port, there is no wireless charging. Have you encountered any issues with Google Pixel 2 XL? Share your views in the comment box.
