HTC VIVE pro, that was launched in March this year, is now available for purchase as a complete package which comes with two controllers, a base station along with the already available headset. This product package will now be available for pre-order starting today from the HTC online store. However, it will only be available for the UK customers for now.
This HTC VIVE pro headset comes equipped with dual AMOLED display which provides resolution of 1440×1600 pixels per eye giving a wide field of view for the user. It also comes with SteamVR tracking 2.0 sensor coupled with USB-C type connector.
The base station 2.0, that comes in this kit, provides the ability to the users to connect up to 4 base stations which had been restricted to 2 in the earlier versions. It has more accurate location positioning compared to its predecessor.
The SteamVR 2.0 will enhance the overall gaming experience for the users by enhancing the efficiency of the processor and making the gaming experience more refined. It will also be handy in using the controllers provided with the kit that will make the tracking more smoother. The controller also uses the micro-USB port for charging.
This complete package comes with much more advanced features and accessories will be available at a price of £1299 for the UK users for now. The price might be a little steep for some users considering the cost of the headset alone is around £799 but this kit is aimed at more advanced gaming users and it will be a good upgrade for those users. While for the regular users, this product might be out of reach for most and HTC will have come up with more products in the lower price range.
