Huawei Honor is one of the aggressive smartphone-brand. As of now, the company has launched few smartphones with very aggressive pricing. Even the Huawei Honor 8 Pro was one of those devices, which went head to head with the OnePlus 5. Finally, the company is planning to launch a OnePlus 5T competitor AKA, the Huawei Honor V10.

As we mentioned in our previous post, the Huawei Honor V10 offers a premium specifications, but it is nothing like the OnePlus 5T or any other premium smartphone in the country. Even with respect to pricing, the device is likely to be priced less than ₹30,000.

With respect to design and build quality, the smartphone features a full metal unibody solution with a dual camera bump on the back. The device is expected to resemble the Huawei Honor 7x in terms of looks and aesthetics, as a matter of fact, the device might offer same dimensions as that of the Honor 7x. However, few improvements will be made, like, the device is likely to replace the micro USB port by USB type C port and it is expected to retain the 3.5 mm headphone jack.

To begin with the display, the device is touted to offer a FHD+ 1080x2160p display with 5.99-inch screen real estate. This display will offer a new 18:9 aspect ratio, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. However, the only thing that we don’t like about this device is the fact that, this uses an IPS LCD panel, which is not as premium as a OLED panel in terms of colour accuracy and battery requirements.

This display will be driven by a HiSilicon Kirin 970 Octa-core flagship class processor, which offers up a performance equivalent to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. This powerful processor will be paired with at least 6 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot (up to 256 GB). So, if you are into expandable storage, then this is the smartphone to consider.

Even with respect to camera capability, the smartphone offers a premium dual camera setup, with 16 MP + 20 MP camera setup. This setup will be able to produce DSLR like portrait mode with 4K video recording capability. For the selfie camera, the smartphone is likely to use a wide-angle 13 MP shooter with 1080p video recording capability.

Finally, the Huawei Honor V10 is expected to run on custom EMUI based on Android Oreo 8.0. This specific OS is expected to feature a plethora of customization options compared to the stock Android user interface. So, will you wait until January to upgrade to a flagship smartphone with smaller price point? Share your views in the comments below.
