The news about Instagram captions also brings with it some new features for the app. With a new feature now users will be able to include a soundtrack in their Stories. The feature is live in the iOS with version 51, and will be coming to the Android soon. After the update, user will see a music icon with the rest of the stickers. As the user will tap on the icon it will bring up a list of popular songs.
The update will also allow user to filter the song by mood and genre, or search for a specific song. User will also find a play icon available next to each track that will allow them to preview each song. The update also allows users to select a song before recording a video. User can easily select the song by swiping to the music option. However, it is not clear when this feature will be going live in the Android app, but it shouldn’t take too long for rolling out.
