Intex India launches a new budget segmented Android entry-level smartphone named Intex Aqua A4+ in India priced at INR 3,999. Unlike most of the Intex branded smartphones, the Intex Aqua A4+ is sold exclusively in offline retail stores and not available on e-commerce websites.

In terms of build and design, the device offers an all-plastic design. The device will be available in Champagne Gold as well as Black paint jobs. Here is the complete set of specifications for the Intex Aqua A4+.

The Intex Aqua A4+ offers a 4.5-inch FWVGA 854 x 480 pixels resolution screen with a 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top. Under the hood, the device is powered by an entry-level Spreadtrum Quad-core SoC, with 1.3 GHz clock speed. 1 GB RAM and 8 GB onboard flash storage should be able to take care of all the basic requisites of smartphones like calling, social media surfing and e-mail and stuff. However, even if you want to play a light title (entry level) games, the device might not be able to handle it.

On to the optics, the Intex Aqua A4+ features a 5 MP rear-facing main camera with a 2 MP secondary shooter. The main camera does support 720p video recording, however, the front-facing camera is good enough for taking selfies and video calls in a well-lit environment.

In terms of operating system, the device runs on Android Nougat 7.0 with custom UI on the top. The smartphone also includes bloatware like Amazon Prime video, Xender and Gaana, which consumes a chunk of internal storage. In terms of connectivity, the device offers a dual SIM card slots with 4G LTE and VoLte capability on both the slots.

The Intex Aqua features a 2000 mAh battery, which is a deal breaker, as the competitive Swipe Elite 2 Plus offers more powerful SoC, better camera and a 3000 mAh battery at the same price tag. There is nothing that makes this smartphone special except for the Android Nougat operating system.
