Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ specs

Once again like all other leaks before the launch, it all started with the rumor that Samsung will launch Galaxy S9 and S9+ at the CES 2018 but that didn’t happen. CES is already over, and the next big event that we are looking forward to is the much awaited Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018. A few days ago, Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ have been leaked in pictures by skin manufacturer dBrand, giving us a good look at the two upcoming devices.Samsung has officially revealed that the next Galaxy phones will be launched at the Galaxy Unpacked 2018 event in this month.

So, the fully loaded Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be announced on February 25 at the Galaxy Unpacked 2018 i.e., just a day before the MWC 2018 kicks off! Samsung has already sent the press invites to the media for this event in Barcelona, Spain. The invitation says “The Camera-Reimagined.” This suggests that upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are literally coming with some powerful cameras.

Talking about the specifications part Samsung Galaxy S9 is said to feature a 5.8-inch display, while the Galaxy S9+ will get a 6.2-inch display. The phones will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor in the US and China, though as per leaks, India and other countries will get Samsung’s Exynos 9810. The Galaxy S9 will come with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, while the Galaxy S9+ will come with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

In terms of camera, both the phones will have variable apertures (f/2.4 and f/2.5) on their 12MP rear camera-a bit expected!  It looks like the South Korean giant, Samsung is set to make an exception this time, given dual cameras have become a common feature in flagships these days. Samsung Galaxy S9’s will definitely target its biggest rival Apple iPhone X which sports dual cameras at the back, a combination of 12MP wide-angle and a 12MP telephoto lens. The Galaxy S9+ is expected to a combination of 12MP+12MP cameras on the back-a gift for shutterbugs! The Galaxy S9 lineup will also include a new feature called “Intelligent Scan”, which could combine iris and facial recognition technology together-ensuring the presence of modern-day bio-metric authentication feature. Apart from Dual Pixel technology, we could see the cameras support Super Slo-mo, a new SuperSpeed Fast technology and optical image stabilization (OIS) on both the sensors for Galaxy S9+.

Unlike the fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy S8 phones which is placed on the left side of the camera, Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will have a repositioned fingerprint sensor, present right below the back camera lens to deal with inconvenience in accessibility issues. That’s all revealed till the date !

Let’s see what Samsung has got to surprise all the technology lovers with its much-awaited range of flagship phones!
