In order to provide good services to the travelers, the India Railways is working with Apple and other technology companies. At the same time, the think tank of India, NITI Aayog is also guiding them to achieve good serviceability, accessibility.

Indian Railways is working with Apple and other tech companies in order to achieve the train speed of 600 km/hr which would save the journey time. The NITI Aayog has approved the ₹18,000 crore proposal of the railways to increase the speeds of the Gatiman Express on the two busiest corridors, Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Kolkata.

Union Minister, Suresh Prabhu said, “We are already working with companies like Apple… technology will not only be imported in India but will be co-developed in India”.

Another major concern in the development is to enable travelers with high safety options. On this Prabhu said, Safety was also an important concern and Indian railways was planning to use self-propelled coaches that can detect rail fractures through ultrasonic technology.
