Senator Bernie Sanders has on Tuesday announced that he will be running for 2020 United States presidential election and launching a second bid for the White House.

On Vermont Public Radio, Bernie announced: “I wanted to let the people of the state of Vermont know about this first.” He also gave an outline of how he will be campaigning, according to NBC news reports.

In an email, Sanders said to supporters: “Together, you and I and our 2016 campaign began the political revolution. Now, it is time to complete that revolution and implement the vision that we fought for.”

Bernie said, “And what I promise to do is, as I go around the country, is to take the values that all of us in Vermont are proud of — a belief in justice, in community, in grassroots politics, in town meetings — that’s what I’m going to carry all over this country.”

He called on the US President Donald Trump and described him a national embarrassment as well as a pathological liar.

He continued lashing out at Trump and said: “I also think he is a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a xenophobe, somebody who is gaining cheap political points by trying to pick on minorities, often undocumented immigrants.”

Trump hit back at Bernie and said, “I wish Bernie well. It will be interesting to see how he does.”

Referring to Bernie, who has lost 2016 democratic nomination against Hillary Clinton, Trump said, “Personally, I think he missed his time. But I like Bernie,” saying both of them “sort of would agree on trade”.

“I’m being very tough on trade,” he said. “The problem is (Bernie) doesn’t know what to do about it.”
