Indonesia has raised the high alert of a danger level for a volcano that could triggered a tsunami on the weekend that has led to the deaths of about 430 people in Java and Sumartra.

According to news reports, on Thursday, an Indonesian volcanology agency said high alert has been raised for the Anak Krakatau volcano to the next second level and exclusion zone has been double to a three-mile radius.

The eruption had occurred on Saturday night in the Sunda Strait into the sea, which turned into a tsunami waves of about hike in 2 metre from usual.  Most of the tsunamis are caused by earthquakes.

Indonesian government has already raised high alert and warned Sudan Strait citizens to stay away from the coastline at least a kilometer because of expected another tsunami which was trigger by Krakatau’s ongoing eruptions.

Head of the energy ministry’s geology department Rudy Sunendar said, “There’s still a chance of a landslide, even under the sea level or on the sea level.” He said that “we don’t know exactly because we are not yet gone to the field” because of the bad weather.

He further said, “Based on the satellite imagery interpretation, there is collapse of some area of Mount Anak Krakatau.”

Indonesia has not been warned about the Saturday’s disaster which has caused the around 149 people missing, and some bodies were also found at sea.

A local former said, “I’ve lost everything I have, my house and all belongings inside it.” He said: “I just hope for some help from the government. Hopefully there will be some repairs. I have nowhere to go. I have no money. Whatever I had was lost in the water.”

Satellite has converted radar data into images which showed the Anak Krakatau volcano appeared dramatically, followed by Saturday’s eruption.

Head of research and innovation at Sheffield University Dave Petley, in a blog,n wrote: “The challenge now is to interpret what might be happening on the volcano, and what might happen next.”
