Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and United States President Donald Trump are expected to hold discussions over a range of issues, including actions seeking forward to complete denuclearization of North Korea’s Peninsula, during their bilateral summit on Friday at the White House, following Hanoi summit failure between Pyongyang leader Kim Jong-un and Trump.

According to Sputnik news reports, Abe’s official visit to Washington DC has come amid several reports alleging North Korea’s officials were not happy with American negotiating delegation, and a week after North Korea tested its new tactical weapon, reportedly.

During a conference call on Thursday, a senior Trump administration official told reporters, “It’s an important opportunity for the leaders to exchange views on recent developments with North Korea as well and to coordinate future actions… aimed at achieving the final, fully verified denuclearization of North Korea.”

The official stated all future moves would be taken under consultation with South Korea, the US ally.

According to White House, Trump is slated to pay a visit to Japan in May to hold meetings with Japanese PM Shinzo Abe, including talks over bilateral cooperation and North Korea as well as “efforts to achieve final, fully verified denuclearization”.

Also, Abe has insisted to hold his summit with North Korean leader Kim in order to facilitate dialogues between North Korea and the US.
