Konkana Sensharma and Manoj Bajpayee are set to feature in Abhishek Chaubey’s directorial drama Soup on Netflix.
Netflix is back with a new show, Soup, featuring versatile actors Manoj Bajpayee and Konkona Sen Sharma. The duo has joined hands to star in Netflix’s new crime drama. Filmmaker Abhishek Chaubey, praised for his acclaimed works, including Ishqiya, Dedh Ishqiya and Sonchiriya, is back with a new thriller series featuring the super talented actors of the filmland: Manoj Bajpayee and Konkona Sensharma.

After Sacred Games, Decoupled, Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein, and many other thriller shows, the OTT is back with a new show featuring promising actors of the film industry, Konkana Sen and Manoj Bajpayee. The streaming giant recently shared a glimpse of the new crime drama on Twitter. The promo video captions, “COMING IN HOT: @BajpayeeManoj and @konkonas are ready to stir up chaos! As per the clip, Konkona Sen will play the character of Swati, and Manoj Bajpayee’s character name will be Prabhakar. The duo plays a married couple in the video. The Family Man star looks distinct from his mainstream roles. In addition to Bajpayee and Sensharma, Chaubey’s dark comedy also stars Nasser, Sayaji Shinde and Lal. Ray and Raat Akeli Hai famed director Abhishek Chaubey is prepared to bring back another entertaining web series on Netflix.

As per sources, the dark thriller drama revolves around an incompetent cook Swati Shetty, who aspires to own a restaurant while her husband doubts her aspirations. However, Swati gets a chance and cooks a master plan. Meanwhile, some dilettante villains ruin the soup.
Director Abhishek Chaubey shares the ‘created by’ credit on Soup with Unaiza Merchant, Anant Tripathi and Harshad Nalawade. Post-release of the promo, the director says, “I’m thrilled to share our story with audiences all across the world. We’ve had a wonderful experience shooting Manoj, Konkona and the entire cast and crew of Soup, can’t wait to showcase this motley bunch of idiosyncratic characters.”
However, neither the maker nor the streamer revealed when the series will start streaming.
