Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister inaugurates IFFCO Nano Urea Liquid Plants at Aonla and Phulpur in UP

Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated the IFFCO Nano Urea Liquid Plants at Aonla and Phulpur in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. Dr Mandaviya stated that Nano Urea, in the coming times will ensure the progress of the farmers, increase their income. In this way it will change the future of our farmers.

He emphasised the advantages of nano urea, claiming that it is the greatest environmentally friendly technology and offers a pollution solution. It benefits farmers the most since it preserves the soil and boosts output. He added that Nano DAP has received permission from the Government’s Expert Committee and will soon take the place of DAP. He continued by saying that Nano-DAP, which would be sold for half as much as DAP, will be extremely helpful to our farmers.

He also emphasised the government’s efforts to make Nano urea accessible to farmers. He also discussed the difficulties in introducing Nano urea, including acquiring approvals from several ministries, persuading the farmers, and dealing with the campaign for conventional urea.

It is an alternative fertiliser, according to Dr. Mandaviya. For years, we employed DAP and urea to boost productivity. Only 35% of the nitrogen (in the form of urea) used by the crop when it is employed is utilised by the soil. It was crucial to switch to alternative fertilisers because crop production is currently saturated and soil productivity is falling.

He praised the role the PM played during COVID, when fertiliser costs rose and one urea bag reached the $4000 mark, but the PM made sure that prices stayed the same. He also noted that while subsidies should be increased, our farmers shouldn’t bear the brunt of higher prices.

The Union Minister praised the efforts of IFFCO. He asserted that trade, commerce, and profit are not foremost for Sahakarita but farmers’ welfare is.

Farmers should use Nano urea, according to Dr. Mandaviya. He claimed that farmers are good at listening to one another’s recommendations. Farmers should encourage others to utilize nano urea after they have used it in their fields and noticed higher productivity, unaffected soil, and reduced costs.
