Kawasaki has introduced the 2021 Ninja ZX10R to its updated BS6 portfolio in India. The bike manufacturer has currently priced the all-new bike at Rs.14,99,000 (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, with this launch, the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R is now one of the most affordable liter-class sports bikes in India.

However, after these updates, the recently launched Ninja ZX10R is more refined when compared to its outgoing BS4 counterpart. Want to know what exact updates are there on the bike? Here are all the details for you.

2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R

In terms of design, the all-new Ninja feels sharper than ever. Further, there are multiple electronic aids that are now a part of the Ninja ZX10R as standard. The list includes launch control, cornering management function, engine brake control, multiple riding modes, etc. to name a few. Apart from this, the bike also comes with an all-LED lighting setup. Whereas, the TFT colored instrument cluster is now available with Smartphone connectivity.

The engine that now powers the all-new Ninja ZX10R is a BS6 compliant 998cc liquid-cooled, four-cylinder unit. It is extremely capable of producing a massive 200BHP of power (without RAM air intake) @ 13,200 RPM and 114Nm of torque @ 11,400 RPM while being mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Further, Kawasaki will also offer a bidirectional quickshifter on the ZX10R as standard for slick shifting.

Mechanically, it is available with a Showa Balance Free Fork suspension at the front. Meanwhile, at the rear, the updated Ninja ZX10R gets a slightly firm, track-focused, gas-charged monoshock setup. In terms of braking, the all-new bike comes with a Brembo twin 330mm discs upfront and a 220mm disc at the back. Further, the swingarm pivot on the 2021 Ninja ZX10R sits lower by somewhere around 1mm when compared to the previous one. However, the length of the same has now improved by 8mm.

Rivals

In India, Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R goes against the likes of Yamaha R1 and Ducati Panigale V4. However, in terms of price, both these bikes are far costlier when compared to the Ninja ZX10R.

Yamaha R1

Yamaha R1 is currently the most popular litre-class sports bike available in India. It comes powered by a 998cc four-cylinder, four-valve engine that churns out a massive 200HP (without ram air intake) and 112.4Nm of peak torque. Further, there are multiple electronic aids available on the all-new Yamaha R1 including traction control system, slide control, launch control and lift control among others.

Ducati Panigale V4

Ducati Panigale V4 was launched last year with a starting price tag of Rs.20.53 Lakhs (ex-showroom) for the standard variant. Interestingly, this range goes all the way till Rs.54.90 Lakhs for the 25 Anniversario 916 variant. Further, Ducati Panigale V4 draws power from a 1103cc twin-cylinder engine. It is capable of producing 211HP @ 13,000 RPM and 122Nm of peak torque @ 10,000 RPM. Feature-wise, Panigale V4 comes with a full LED lighting setup, Ducati Power Launch, TFT colored instrument display, etc. among others.
