2021 KTM Duke 890 has recently made its global debut and the naked superbike now looks extremely mature. Further, as soon as the Australian bike manufacturer launched the ‘Super Scalpel’ globally, many bike enthusiasts went crazy and were waiting for a simpler version of the Duke 890 R. Well! Here it is while replacing the older Duke 790.

  • This all-new naked motorcycle has replaced the older Duke 790.

Design-wise, KTM Duke 890 remains almost the same as the 790 variant. Meanwhile, features such as twin LED headlamps, TFT instrument console and revised graphics are a part of the updated superbike. Further, the KTM Duke 890 is available with a 43mm USD Apex fork alongside a monoshock unit at the rear. Braking duties on the naked motorcycle is taken care of by 300mm twin discs at the front. Whereas, for the rear, there is a single disc present with cornering ABS for enhanced safety. Further, the twin disc brakes at the front now stand replaced by the Brembo units that are offered on the Duke 890 R.

Safety features on the Duke 890 when compared to the 790 remains untouched. It still gets various ride modes such as Rain, Street, Road and Track. Meanwhile, all these modes are capable of altering various factors such as traction, ABS, wheelie control, etc.

The engine that powers the all-new KTM Duke 890 is an 889cc twin-cylinder, LC8c unit that can churn out a massive 115Ps of power @ 9,000 RPM. Even the peak torque from this engine stands at a commendable 92Nm against 8,000 RPM. Apart from all this, the power figures on the Duke 890 has dramatically improved when compared to the 790 counterpart, all credits to this more powerful engine. Another interesting fact about this motor is that it is the same motor that powers the KTM Duke 890 R as well. However, this motor has been tuned in such a way that its power figures are less impressive.

Launch of the KTM Duke 890 still remains unsure as the company has not made any official announcement regarding it yet. However, when launched it might come with a price tag between Rs.8 Lakh to Rs.9 Lakh.
