Toyota Yaris entered the Indian market in the year 2018. Toyota established a huge market in India with the introduction of the full-sized vehicles.  Toyota Innova and Fortuner are among the top-selling vehicles for the company. However, the Japanese giant was not able to establish a market for its hatchbacks and sedans. This resulted in rebadging vehicles like Toyota Glanza and Urban Cruiser, which were earlier Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Vitara Brezza respectively.

Toyota Yaris could not even stand close to any of its rivals. Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid, and Honda City all come under the same category; compact sedan.

While Toyota Yaris went through many minor changes previously. Dual-tone exterior, glossy back grille and OVRM’s, 7 SRS Airbags, tyre pressure monitor, infotainment system with gesture control, auto headlamps, etc. were some of the sensational features which were offered.

The new 2021, Toyota Yaris might come with some cosmetic changes however, the interior will remain the same. The Toyota Yaris comes up with a 1.5-litre Petrol engine, with both Manual as well as a CVT-i transmission, and hence similarly the facelifted 2021 Toyota Yaris will be powered by the same engine. Launch in India still remains uncertain.
