Call Skoda Kodiaq underrated but for the past few years, that’s how customers have been treating this SUV in India. Of course, the price tag it comes with has created havoc for the brand but the premium feel it offers is enough to compensate for all of that.

Recently, Hyundai introduced the 2023 Tucson as the Kodiaq rival and now, as an answer to the Korean brand, even Skoda is here with the updated version of the Kodiaq starting with a price tag starting at Rs.37.49 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi).

Are you planning to enter this segment by any chance? Let’s take a look at the details related to it down below.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • 2023 Skoda Kodiaq has finally arrived in India.
  • Comes with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder TSI engine.
  • Receives minor feature updates for MY 2023.

Frankly, this is not even an updated model. Instead, it is the second lot of Kodiaq as the first one was sold out within no time. Still, to differentiate it, the Czech carmaker has smartly infused some added features such as a CANTON surround sound system and VW Group’s Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) this time. Skoda has even retained some modern features of the Kodiaq from the first lot including proper slots for umbrellas and blankets, a large panoramic sunroof, and automatic headlamps among others.

Under the hood, it still comes powered by a potent 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. As claimed by the brand, this unit is capable of churning out a massive 187BHP and 320Nm of peak torque. Another interesting bit about the SUV is that it is still available with a 7-speed DSG transmission and a 4×4 powertrain that pushes this massive SUV to clock a triple-digit speed in just 7.8 seconds while having a proper grip at all times.

Sadly, Skoda has confirmed that the entire range has received a price hike of Rs.1.5 Lakhs. Earlier, the same Kodiaq used to come within a price bracket ranging between Rs.35.99 Lakhs to Rs.38.49 Lakhs. However, from now onwards, it is going to cost its customers a premium.

The carmaker is now receiving bookings for the same against a token amount of Rs.50,000. Therefore, customers who wish to place a booking can do so by visiting their nearest dealership.
