Mercedes-Benz GLE is not a new name for any of us and the brand sees it as a practical offering for customers who want something in between a GLC and GLS. Recently, the Indian website of the brand teased an SUV that would be making its debut in an updated avatar on 2nd November. And, we can confirm that it is none other than the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE.

Wondering what updates the new GLE will be featuring? Let’s take a look at the details below.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE is all set to make its debut on 2nd November.
  • Will be receiving updates in the form of refreshed exterior and interior.
  • To be available with engine options that were available on the last model.

2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE: Here’s What One Should Expect

On the outside, the all-new GLE will feature several changes to give it a fresh look. For instance, the front end of the luxury SUV now gets a more aggressive bumper, revised headlamps, a large Mercedes logo and a muscular bonnet hood. The side profile on the other hand features new alloy wheels to align the updates with the front end. Then, the tailgate has been slapped with new taillamps making the overall design at par with new Mercedes-Benz cars and SUVs.

The cabin of the 2024 GLE is expected to be kind of premium, as per the global variant that was revealed a few months ago. A new steering wheel inspired by the S-Class, a new MBUX infotainment system and revised upholstery is something one can anticipate from the upcoming GLE. On the update part, the brand’s active cruise control has also received major revisions.

Until and unless the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE makes its debut on 2nd November, it is difficult to comment on what powertrain options it will get this time. The outgoing model was available in both diesel and petrol models and we expect the updated one to get the same. Thankfully, Mercedes has integrated the 48V system on almost every premium model and the GLE will be featuring the same. To be precise, this pushes the overall output by 20 horsepower and 200Nm giving it a jump start.

Rivalry

In India, the updated Mercedes-Benz GLE will be competing with luxury SUVs such as the BMW X5, Volvo XC90, Range Rover Velar, Porsche Macan and Audi Q7 to name a few. Let’s wait and see how the GLE actually stands against these big names, once launched.
