Exterior & Design

The updated Q5 will be sportier than ever and the major reason behind this massive transformation is a new front grille, revised headlamps, stylish alloy wheels and reprofiled bumpers at both front and rear. There’s even a new set of OLED tail lamps at the back that looks absolutely striking especially at night.

Interior

Looks like the interior of the 2021 Q5 will remain more or less similar to the older one. The dashboard will still feature a large 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity. A new multi-functional steering wheel with the brand’s Virtual Cockpit now works seamlessly according to the carmaker. Other features including three-zone climate control, wireless charger, ambient lighting and electrically adjustable front seats will further enhance the overall practicality inside the cabin.

Engine

Just like the new A6, this one will be coming up with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. The overall output from this unit is currently rated at 245BHP ad 370Nm of peak torque while being paired to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The upcoming Q5 is likely to make its Indian debut with Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system as standard.

Alternatives

In India, the upcoming Audi Q5 will be competing against the likes of Mercedes-Benz GLC, Volvo XC60, Lexus NX and BMW X3. Want to learn more about the new X3? Here are some details related to it down below.

The first one is of course a powerful 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that churns out a massive 250BHP and 350Nm of peak torque. There’s even a fuel-efficient 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel motor that produces a decent 250BHP and 400Nm of peak torque. In terms of features, BMW X3 comes loaded with a multi-functional steering wheel, adaptive LED headlamps, three-zone climate control, Harman Kardon surround sound system and a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster to name a few.
