The affordable BMW G 310 twins are again on the verge to become not so affordable as the brand has released a new price list while making both of them costlier by around Rs.10,000. Well, frankly speaking, this is not the first time that BMW Motorrad has done so. In fact, a similar price hike for both of them was encountered at the beginning of this year. Since then, this is the second price hike buyers will be facing with the G 310 R now priced at Rs.2.60 Lakhs. Meanwhile, the elder G 310 GS now come with a price tag of Rs.3 Lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).

Design & Features
Even after being entry-level motorcycles, both of them remain practical with high-end performance. In terms of features, both the bikes are available with LED headlights and a fully digital instrument console making them decently loaded.
For now, the all-new G 310 R and G 310 GS sits on a 41mm inverted fork at the front. Talking about the rear, both of them uses a monoshock setup that maintains the balance between comfort and precision in terms of handling. Giving the bikes enough stopping power are the disc brakes on either end but for enhanced safety, BMW has decided to offer dual-channel ABS as standard.
Starting with the BMW G 310 R, it gets three colour schemes including – Black Yellow, Polar White and Cyanite Blue. On the other hand, the BMW G 310 GS comes with a slightly different range of shades including – Cosmic Black, Limestone Metallic and Polar White.
Engine
Powering both of them is a powerful 313cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. As claimed by the German bike manufacturer, this unit is now compliant with the latest emission norms and is tuned to churn out a decent amount of power rated at 34BHP @ 9,250 RPM and 28Nm @ 7,500 RPM while being mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
