Design & Features
A capable adventure tourer is expected to come with good ergonomics and enough features to offer a comfortable ride and Ducati has managed to offer that with the all-new Multistrada V4 Rally.
In terms of design, it looks similar to the standard Multistrada V4 but with the introduction of a larger 30-litre fuel tank, new windscreen and more ground clearance, the Rally version is one step ahead when compared to the already perfect adventure tourer.
Making it modern enough is a package that includes several safety features such as cornering ABS, cruise control, engine braking, traction control and a radar-based blind spot detector. The 2023 Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally also features a big 6.5-inch TFT display with all the crucial information and Bluetooth connectivity helping it to stay at par with the rivals.
Hardware
This is not a basic Multistrada. For this massive price tag, you get a full-blown adventure tourer with best-in-class hardware. For starters, the new Multistrada V4 Rally comes equipped with the brand’s Skyhook Suspension EVO at the front and it is a 50mm fully adjustable fork. Then, at the back, the bike features a Cantilever Suspension setup which is thankfully, fully adjustable.
For enough stopping power, Ducati offers twin 330mm discs at the front and a 265mm disc at the rear. Offering enough grip are the 19 and 17-inch Pirelli Trail 2 block pattern tired at the front and rear respectively.
Engine & Transmission
Powering the Multistrada V4 Rally is an 1158cc four-cylinder engine that propels 170 horsepower and 121Nm of peak torque. Thankfully, the bike features cylinder deactivation technology helping to improve the overall fuel efficiency.
Another interesting bit about the power unit is that it comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox working in conjunction with a slip-and-assist clutch to give the riders a smoother shift experience. Other than this, there are four ride modes aimed at tuning the power delivery according to the requirement. To be precise, they are Sport, Touring, Enduro and Urban.
