Exterior

No, we cannot exactly call it a facelift because the enhancements are not evident to the naked eye. The brand is still claiming that the front profile has been revised with a new bumper and the LED DRLs are incorporated on the same. To further push the overall styling to the next level, the side profile now features stylish 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and wing mirror indicators. For a floating effect, Hyundai is even offering a blacked-out C-pillar on either side.

Interior & Safety Features

Unlike the exterior, which features minor cosmetic updates, the interior remains exactly the same. The features list, although has been updated with three new gizmos, namely – footwell lighting, a 3.5-inch MID unit and also a type C-charging port. Other basic features such as a wireless charging pad, touchscreen infotainment system, and multi-function steering wheel that were there on the outgoing model have been carried forward.

Multiple first-in-segment safety features have also been introduced on the all-new Aura. To be precise, the new sedan now comes with side and curtain airbags on top of the dual airbags that were already available as standard.

Engine & Transmission

For 2023, Hyundai has discontinued the old 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Instead, the sedan will now be powered by a sole 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that churns out a decent 82BHP and 113.8Nm. On the contrary, the power comes slightly down if the same is available in the CNG guise and when we say down, it stands barely at 68BHP and 95.2Nm. Both options are available with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Thankfully, the petrol-only SX+ variant can be had with an AMT gearbox as well.
