Santa Cruz was first revealed as a concept back in 2015. For starters, it might look like a pickup truck and in reality, it is exactly a one. Conventionally, we call it a lifestyle pick up truck. But, according to Hyundai, it is a Sports Adventure Vehicle (SAV).

The all-new Hyundai Santa Cruz shares its underpinning with the latest generation Tucson. To be precise, there are many similarities between the original SUV and this new pickup truck. To begin with, the front fascia comes with a hidden lighting signature that becomes visible when turned on. Apart from this, a big front grille, skid plate and LED headlight on the front end enhances the bolder look for this SAV. The side profile of the all-new Santa Cruz comes with large wheel arches. Further, it runs on a set of 20-inch alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, it is as comfortable as the Tucson SUV. To be precise, Hyundai has decided to opt for a minimalistic design language for the interior. A neatly done 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system sits at the centre. Apart from this, a fully digital instrument cluster also remains a part of the all-new Hyundai Santa Cruz.

Under the hood, it is available with a 2.5-litre in-line, four-cylinder engine. The Korean brand has not revealed the exact power figures yet. However, the estimated numbers stand at 190+ HP and a peak torque of 244+Nm. Also, Hyundai Santa Cruz will also be available with a 2.5-litre turbocharged engine that is truly capable of producing 275+ HP.

The all-new pickup truck is expected to go on sale in North America soon. However, Hyundai has not confirmed anything regarding its launch in India yet. But again, Isuzu is all set to introduce the 2021 D-Max V-Cross in India again. Well, that might be a good chance for Hyundai to launch the Santa Cruz against it.
