Triumph is one of those motorcycle brands that is expanding its portfolio globally at an exponential rate. The British bike manufacturer has recently introduced Trident 660 in India. And, now they have introduced the updated Scrambler 1200 range for the global market. Interestingly, the all-new Scrambler XC and XE will be coming to India as well. Also, the company has decided to introduce a special Steve McQueen edition that will be limited to only 1000 units.

Both the bikes are available with three colour schemes on offer. The list includes Saphire Black, Matte Khaki Green with a Jet Black Stripe and Cobalt Blue with a Jet Black Stripe. What all updates can be seen on the 2021 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC and XE? Well, we have covered all the details for you.

Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC & XE

In terms of design, the updated bike now features aluminium mudguards, wise-set handlebars, ‘Scrambler 1200’ badging and sculpted side panels as standard. In addition to these, the all-new Scrambler 1200 XE comes with knuckle guards, forks finished in gold, a long-travel swingarm and a Brembo MC lever to name a few.

Feature-wise, the all-new Scrambler 1200 range comes with an LED lighting setup. This way, the headlight, taillight and indicators are now available with LEDs as standard. Other features such as torque-assist clutch, cruise control, USB charging socket and heated grips are also available on the all-new motorcycles. For now, there are 6 ride modes on offer. Precisely, they are – Road, Rain, Sport, Off-Road, Off-Road Pro and Manual. However, the Off-Road Pro mode is available on the XE variant only.

At the heart, both the bikes get a powerful 1200cc 8-valve twin-cylinder engine. Talking in numbers, this engine is truly capable of producing 90PS of power @ 7250 RPPM and 110Nm of torque @ 4,500 RPM. For the knowledge, this motor is now Euro-5 compliant. Well, this way, it is even compliant to the BS6 emission norm as well.

Coming to the Steve McQueen special edition. Firstly, it gets all the additional accessories as standard. On top of that, it is based on the XE variant. Ofcourse, that implies, that this special edition is off-road oriented. According to the British brand, only 1000 units of the Triumph Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen edition will be available globally.

Ducati has recently launched the updated Scrambler 1100 range in India. Currently, it is available with a 1079 twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. For now, it is capable of producing a massive 86BHP of power and 88Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
