Ather Energy is back with its second product, the all-new Ather Rizta, with an introductory price tag starting at Rs.1.10 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The EV manufacturer has launched it in two different variants, making the lineup versatile and for everyone.

Bookings for the Rizta are open now across the dealerships. However, the EV maker has confirmed that the deliveries will be done only around June 2024.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Ather Rizta has finally made its debut in India.
  • The EV features massive space under the seat.
  • Deliveries of these scooters will begin in June.

Ather Rizta: Here’s Everything You Need To Know

Starting with the design, the electric scooter might take longer to grow in your eyes. However, to be precise, it uses a boxy design but in a rounded manner to give it a neat look.

Ather Rizta is also a smart electric scooter, and to align with Ather’s modern design language, the manufacturer has smartly incorporated an LED headlamp on the front end. The indicators and taillamp are also designed smartly to offer a fresh look. Currently, the Rizta S is available in three monotone shades called Pangong Blue, Siachen White and Deccan Grey. Meanwhile, the top-end Z variant features four additional shades apart from these.

Space is something one should definitely talk about when it comes to Rizta. In fact, Ather calls it a family scooter, all thanks to a 34-litre under-seat storage with 18W power output (optional). The storage capacity can be extended with a 22-litre frunk, but it is again an additional accessory.

For the first time, a scooter will get a traction control system (TCS). As expected, it will help in added stability during the rides.

The battery pack on the Rizta will depend upon the variant opted for. The S variant features a 2.9 kWh battery pack, while the top-end Z variant is available with either a 2.9 kWh or a 3.7 kWh battery pack. Ather says that the range from these setups will range from 105 to 160 kilometres when fully juiced up. The batteries are thankfully IP67 rated and get a 400mm water-wading capacity.

The motors are said to be powerful. However, to alter the power delivery, Rizta features two ride modes named Zip and SmartEco.

To make charging hassle-free, Ather is offering various charging modes on the new Rizta. The electric scooter can also be charged at any other charging station.

Additionally, the entire range gets a 5-year optional warranty under the ‘Ather Battery Protect’ program. The program aims to offer an overall warranty of up to 5 years/60,000 kilometres and covers any kind of battery failure. Other than this, it also claims that the battery health will remain at or above 70 per cent by the end of 5 years.
