We are all set to witness the eighth edition of India Bike Week (IBW) but what we didn’t know is that there is some surprise for all of us this time. KTM has got lots and lots of love from Indian customers and to return it back, the Austrian bike manufacturer has decided to host India’s largest racing championship called the KTM RC Cup. Wondering what it is all about? Let’s check all the details related to it down below.

In India, KTM has already introduced its Pro-XP program that offers a wide variety of exciting experiences to the respective KTM owners but something was still missing back then. Can you guess what it was? Well, definitely it was the track experience that KTM holds its forte on. The RC Cup is here to provide such platforms to the bikers so they can extract the best from their machines.

KTM is itself a renowned name in the MotoGP and racing world. The RC Cup from the brand will be a multi-city event spread over eight different cities including – Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Coimbatore, Hyderabad and Banglore. KTM is expecting around 1000+ bikes to participate in the regional qualifiers and a particular set of groups from each city will race at MMRT, Chennai to be the national champion.

The top three winners of the RC Cup are also going to get a free trip to the global HQ of KTM. Likewise, the prize also includes a visit to Motohall, interaction with KTM Racing Factory Athletes and a free pass to witness the MotoGP race live.

The event is expected to start in January and will go on till March 2023.

While addressing the media, Mr Sumeet Narang, President (Probiking), Bajaj Auto Ltd added, “Racing is core to KTM’s DNA and with RC cup we would be launching the biggest amateur racing platform in India yet. We look forward to the best of racing talent competing here and get a chance to be trained by the best from KTM. The fan reaction at IBW has been very heartening and come January, we look forward to getting all KTM fans READY TO RACE.
