Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Story of one of the best sellers for Maruti Suzuki

Some Major Highlights of MS Brezza

At the time of its launch, Maruti Suzuki called the second generation Brezza ‘Techy’. The reason behind calling it a tech-loaded SUV was clear, it was now loaded with features that were added to a Maruti Suzuki for the first time. For instance, the electric sunroof.

It is clear that the carmaker does not want to compete with its rivals but itself, and that is reflected in the updates that have been made. First thing is the styling, and the all-new Brezza now boats a heightened bonnet hood with flat LED projector headlamps and DRLs. Several similar changes at the side and rear profile have helped the carmaker to achieve a refreshed look.

The cabin of Brezza now features a dual-tone black and rich brown theme. Similarly, the addition of new features such as a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, a massive 22.86cm SmartPlay Pro+ HD display, ARKAMYS surround sound system, footwell lighting, head-up display and a 360-degree camera can also be seen on the higher trims of the SUV.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza might not be the most powerful SUV when compared to its rivals. However, with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, it offers a class-leading mileage of up to 20.15kmpl (ARAI rated). To run through little more details, the engine available on the second generation SUV has been updated for BS6 Phase-2 emission norms and is capable of producing – just adequate 103 horsepower and 136.8Nm of peak torque.

Offered with both manual as well as automatic transmission, the new Brezza gives power to the customers to take their own decisions. The absence of diesel and turbocharged engines although is still evident and could have taken the already impressive sales number of the SUV to another level.
