While the outbreak of the COVID-19 is still going on. Tesla Inc. Chief, Elon Musk has cleared that the demand of Tesla remained strong throughout the pandemic and that it did not affect Tesla much.

However, Musk said that the people are now preferring more online shopping as compared to the previous in an Automotive News’ Daily Drive podcast.

He further added, “We saw strong orders through the whole pandemic, we still had a good order volume. I guess people are less inclined to go to a dealership, do the test drive, and hang out at the lobby and that kind of thing.”

Elon Musk joined Tesla Motors which is now Tesla Inc. in 2004. He was the product architect when he joined Tesla Inc. However, in 2008 he became the CEO. Under him, Tesla Inc. now has become the highest-valued carmaker.

Musk also added that Tesla made some great cars, therefore the investors are happy.

Tesla recently is planning to start the manufacturing of the Tesla Model Y SUV at the facility in Shanghai, China. Tesla is a popular brand in China and thus, it has able to establish a great market for the Tesla Model 3 sedans as well.
