Tesla first launched the Model S sedan in the year 2012. And since then the update on the electric sedan was pending. However, Tesla has now introduced the all-new Tesla Model S globally which is expected to roll out in the market soon. Apart from this, the US carmaker has also introduced a new variant of the Model S sedan known as the Plaid.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Tesla has recently revealed the 2021 Model S globally.
  • It is now available with a totally revamped interior.
  • Design-wise, the all-new Model S gets some minor cosmetic updates.
Feature-wise, it will also get a ventless AC system, three-zone climate control, 22-speaker surround sound system and multiple type C charging ports among others. Further, minor cosmetic changes can be seen on the updated Tesla Model S. However, the powerful sedan now runs on a new set of alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, the updated sedan now comes with a horizontal 17-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Apart from this, there is a newly designed steering wheel that takes inspiration from an airplane. Further, the 12.3-inch instrument cluster retains the old look exactly found in the Model X.
Tesla has also introduced a third screen for the rear occupants. Meanwhile, the carmaker also claims that the rear seats are more comfortable than before.
Tesla Model S is now available with a new variant called Plaid. And for that, the US carmaker has discontinued the Performance variant. Meanwhile, the all-new variant is now available with the four-wheel drive powertrain and three motors that power the electric sedan together while churning out a massive 1,020HP. Interestingly, with this powertrain, Tesla Model S is capable of doing a 0-100 kmph in just 2.1 seconds.
Tesla has recently entered the Indian market and the US carmaker is even planning to start the local assembly here only. However, right now, Tesla is all set to bring the Model 3 sedan in India via the CBU route. Well, let’s hope that the carmaker will soon introduce the Model S sedan in India too.
