  • Toyota has recently revealed the 2021 Toyota Fortuner in Thailand.

The 2021 Toyota Fortuner is one of the most awaited full-size SUVs in India and it has been spotted testing on the roads several times. However, the Japanese carmaker is all set to launch the updated Toyota Fortuner soon in the country.

Update-wise, the facelifted Toyota Fortuner comes with multiple cosmetic changes inside out. Meanwhile, starting with the exterior changes it gets a redesigned front grille with large air dams. Likewise, Toyota did use the chrome elements at the front to make the all-new Fortuner look premium. Coming to the headlights, the design might remain the same with LED DRLs. With such multiple revisions, the customers will also get to see a new set of alloy wheels and a more stylish bumper at the front.

However, the rear and side profile of the full-sized SUV remains almost the same. Now coming to the cabin,  design-wise it will remain the same. However, some new elements including an updated touchscreen infotainment system, ambient lighting, wireless charging pad and 360-degree camera will make it feature loaded. Meanwhile, this updated infotainment system comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity which is similar to what the company offers on the 2021 Innova Crysta.

Coming to the mechanicals, we expect the engines on offer to remain the same. Right now, Toyota Fortuner comes with two engine options :

  • 2694cc Petrol Engine : 163.7BHP and 245Nm
  • 2755cc Diesel Engine : 174.5BHP and 450Nm

Meanwhile, both the engines are available with the Automatic as well as Manual transmission.

Toyota has started booking for the 2021 Toyota Fortuner in India. Meanwhile, customers can visit their nearest showroom the book their all-new SUV. In India, Toyota Fortuner competes against the Ford Endeavour, Mahindra Alturas G4, MG Gloster and Isuzu MU-X.
