Styling, Design and Features
A single-round headlamp, wide handlebar and circular instrument cluster are all you will ever need on a retro motorcycle. In terms of design, it feels striking with a muscular fuel tank and side-mounted twin exhausts which undoubtedly works in favour of the all-new Street Scrambler.
Available with three colour shades including – Jet Black, Urban Grey and Matte Khakhi/Matte Ironstone (dual tone), it looks absolutely stunning from all angles.
Like any other modern motorcycle, it is available with three ride modes, namely – Road, Rain and Off-Road. The ABS and traction control (TC) offered on the 2022 Street Scrambler are obviously switchable. Last but not least, the British brand is even offering a USB charging port that makes it a fully loaded retro motorcycle in today’s world.
Hardware
Suspension duties for the updated bike are still managed by a 41mm telescopic front fork and twin-shock absorbers at the back. For rider’s safety, it comes equipped with a single 310mm disc (front) and 255mm disc (rear) alongside dual-channel ABS. The tyres on the all-new Street Scrambler further uplift the overall stance.
Engine
The overall output from the updated engine is still mind-boggling. To begin with, the all-new Triumph Street Scrambler comes powered by a 900cc twin-cylinder engine and this motor without a doubt is truly capable of producing a massive 65HP @ 7,250 RPM and 80Nm @ 3,250 RP. According to the spec sheet, it still gets a 5-speed gearbox that works brilliantly in conjunction with this setup.
Alternatives
In India, the updated Street Scrambler will obviously go head-on against the likes of Ducati Scrambler Icon and Kawasaki Z900. Want to learn more about the all-new Z900? Let’s check out all the details related to it down below.
Kawasaki Z900
Updated recently, the all-new Kawasaki Z900 is a perfect naked motorcycle and serves a totally different purpose if compared to the Street Scrambler. Power on the new Z900 is extracted from a 948cc four-cylinder engine that churns out a massive 125PS and 98.6Nm while being paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Feature-wise, it is available with four ride modes including – Road, Rain, Sport and Rider, LED headlight, smartphone connectivity and a 4.3-inch TFT instrument console among others.
