Volkswagen India, trying to offer customisation options as per the needs and wants of the customers, has today introduced Deep Black Pearl colour across the range of Taigun and Virtus. Until now, the shade was exclusively available on the GT Plus variants.

We understand that the darker the shade, the higher the maintenance. However, some products look absolutely stunning in Black shades, and both Taigun and Virtus are one of them.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Volkswagen Taigun is being offered with Deep Black Pearl.
  • The same shade is also available on the Volkswagen Virtus.
  • Earlier, Deep Black Pearl shade was limited on GT Plus trim.

Apart from the introduction of the new shade, nothing has changed. This means, the car will be sold with features and accessories depending upon the variant the customer opts for.

To get into the details of the feature list, Taigun gets electrically adjustable seats, footwell illumination, Multi Collision Brakes, a Rear View Camera, Infinity LED taillamps, LED headlamps with DRL, ambient lighting, leatherette upholstery, an electric sunroof, etc, to name a few. The list remains kind of similar on the Virtus with minor changes here and there.

Under the hood, the variants that are launched with the Deep Black Pearl shade are available with a 1.0-litre TSI engine with output rated at an impressive 113.42 horsepower and 178Nm. This motor is offered with both a 6-speed manual as well as an automatic gearbox.

Earlier, the GT variants that got the same shade were powered by a 1.5-litre TSI engine and being the power-packed variant, those were costlier. However, Volkswagen has confirmed that the new Deep Black Pearl from hereon will be available across the range.

Lately, Volkswagen has also introduced Sound Edition for both products. Talking about that, footwell illumination and a premium surround sound system were a few enhancements that were made on the SUV and sedan, to make them feature-rich.
