If road presence is something a customer is looking for, the KTM 1390 Super Duke R is currently the most aggressive-looking product available. Offered with a new LED headlamp assembly, new tank and sharp winglets, it feels completely new and better than the outgoing model.

In terms of size, the fuel tank capacity has increased by 1.5-litre taking the overall number to 17.5 litres. On the contrary, the weight of the bike is now reduced by 700 grams.

Being the flagship bike from the KTM range, the 1390 Super Duke R is feature-rich. To name a few, it comes loaded with a 5-inch coloured TFT display, tyre pressure monitoring system, Engine Brake Control (optional) and Revised Anti-Wheelie mode (optional), according to the preferences of the customers.

The chassis of the new flagship model is compact but still provides enough confidence. Then, the availability of a USD fork upfront with 125mm travel and a mono-shock setup at the rear further improves the game. According to the manufacturer, these are fully adjustable for both pre-load and rebound.

KTM also says that the new bike is powerful enough and, therefore, for enough stopping power; it features dual 320mm discs and a single 240mm disc at the front and rear, respectively. Things do not end here, as the Evo version of the same is even better.

Coming to the wheels, they are now wrapped with Michelin Power GP tyres and use the dual compound technology for better grip.

Engine & Transmission

The overall output from the flagship model is something that is aimed to impress you the most. With a 1350cc twin-cylinder engine, it churns out a massive 190 horsepower and 145Nm of torque.

Now, since the new bike is all about performance, the other areas that are helping the mechanism are also top-notch. To elaborate a bit, the engine on the 1390 Super Duke R comes paired with a reliable 6-speed gearbox that works in conjunction with a slipper clutch to offer a smooth shifting experience. To alter power and riding dynamics, it also features multiple Performance and Track modes.

Did you like the all-new KTM 1390 Super Duke R range? If yes, let us know that one change that surprised you the most.
