Elon Musk And TwitterSource: Twitter

Elon Musk has put a full stop to the speculations about him joining the Twitter’s board. In a tweet on Sunday night, CEO Parag Agrawal cleared the air by telling the public that Elon has decided against joining the board.

“Elon has decided not to join our board. I sent a brief note to the company, sharing with you all here,” the Twitter CEO posted, sharing the media.

Mr. Agrawal said a string of contemplation and discussion the board members had with Elon Musk over joining the board.
“Elon’s appointment to the board was to become officially effective 4/9, but Elon shared that same morning he will no longer be joining the board. I believe this is for the best,” he wrote.
“We were excited to collaborate and be clear about the risks. We also believed that Elon as a fiduciary of the company where he, like all board members, has to act in the best interest of the company and all our shareholders, was the best path forward. The board offered him a seat.”

Elon was supposed to join Twitter’s board with effect from Saturday, April 9, but on the very day, he informed the Twitter CEO about his decision not to join the board.

“I believe this is for the best. We have and will always value input from our shareholders whether they are on our board or not. Elon is our biggest shareholder and we will remain open to his input,” the Twitter CEO said.
CEO Agrawal noted that there will be “distractions ahead but our goals and priorities remain unchanged”. “The decisions we make and how we execute are in our hands, no one else’s. Let’s tune out the noise and stay focused on the work and what we’re building,” Mr. Agrawal added.

Meanwhile Elon Musk…

Meanwhile, Elon is keeping Twitterati busy with his wacky and out-of-box observations. On April 9, he quoted a tweet by World Of Statistics on the top 10 most-followed accounts on Twitter. He was one amongst the top ten  personalities having the most followers on Twitter, but he had something to say about a few of other accounts.

He tweeted, “Most of these “top” accounts tweet rarely and post very little content. Is Twitter dying?”

Adding to this, he said, @taylorswift13 ( whose name was there on the most-followed people on Twitter) hasn’t posted anything in 3 months, and the Canadian singer @justinbieber only posted once this entire year.

His observation stirred a debate in which many “known-personalities” participated.
